Abstract

Biomolecules that are found in small concentrations are often hard to detect but essential for medical diagnostics. My project will apply Corona Phase Molecular Recognition (CoPhMoRe) in order to modify single-walled carbon nanotubes to be able to detect binding events. By synthesizing different polymers and testing their affinities against different relevant protein targets, results will aid in the production of next-generation biosensors.

I am drawn to everything research, pioneering the future of medicine, engineering and more. A SuperUROP is the perfect opportunity to develop some independence in this matter. I am eager to apply the topics I have learnt throughout my course 10 degree and develop them further through my time in SuperUROP.
