Abstract
This project seeks to develop a firmware patch to USB devices which enables guarantees to be made about the safety of a device. The approach taken involves using encryption to create a verification system that doesn’t allow for any transaction to occur between device and machine, including the host fetching the description of the device, until the user confirms that the transaction is correct.
