The project aims to serve the homeless and underhoused by revolutionizing the production and distribution of such homes. The homes are aimed to meet three main criteria be sustainably sourced, be aesthetically pleasing, and meet the same or better structural performance of traditional housing. The polymers used to manufacture such homes are sourced from recycled plastics, which also helps to reduce plastic waste.
I am particularly excited to be a part of this UROP because I really identify with the mission of supplying affordable housing to people who need it without sacrificing quality.
