Research Project Title:

Large Scale Production of Low-Cost Lightweight Homes using Additive Manufacturing of Recycled Polymer

abstract:The project aims to serve the homeless and underhoused by revolutionizing the production and distribution of such homes. The homes are aimed to meet three main criteria – be sustainably sourced, be aesthetically pleasing, and meet the same or better structural performance of traditional housing. The polymers used to manufacture such homes are sourced from recycled plastics, which also helps to reduce plastic waste.
