Printmaking is an artistic technique that involves creating relief on a surface to generate stamped reproductions. While this technique was once necessary for the mass production of images, printmaking evolved into an artistic technique. However, the manual process of engraving can be very tedious and complicated for people that don’t have an artistic background. This is where Print by Numbers comes in: an automated system that transforms an input image into color layers to be laser cut and used as stamps for print-making.
