A Privacy-Preserving Framework for Secure Genomic Imputation
abstract:We present a framework for genotype imputation, a crucial step in the analysis of genome-wide association studies that maintains the confidentiality of underlying genotypes, and show that it can feasibly scale to commonly used reference panel sizes. Our method shows how modern techniques in cryptography can be used to analyze personal genomic data and prevent privacy concerns in genomic analysis, while allowing individuals to impute their own genomes without compromising privacy.
